Unplugged

Updated: May 18, 2019

For almost a week, I had no phone service. I felt of out touch with the world. The flip side of the coin was I was alone with myself. Moreover, the silence left me unplugged. All those thoughts that I had pushed away suddenly came to the surface, which had me wondering how many times do we use the hectic pace of our everyday lives to not deal with our own inner world or external conflict. Being unplugged allows us to just that. Unplug from distractions. Recharge for the next part of our journey. So the next time you hesitate to unplug ask yourself what might I be refusing to deal with in this season of my life. Why does the thought of silence seem also intimidating. Journal it and if you like post your responses here.
